  1. Counseling Relationship: Counseling is a place where you can share your thoughts and feelings in a safe and supportive environment. I see the counseling relationship as a process where you and I work together to trust and understand one another, explore and define present problems and situations, develop future goals for an improved life, and work in a systematic fashion toward realizing these goals.
  1. Qualifications: I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor in the state of Louisiana, license number 4309. I hold a Doctor of Ministries Degree in Pastoral Studies with an emphasis in counseling, a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling, and a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Psychology and Religion.
  1. Areas of Focus: I have an extensive background in Marriage and Family Issues, as well as Depression, Panic and Anxiety, Grief, Anger Management, Borderline Personality Disorder, Addictive Behaviors, Substance Abuse, Conflict Resolution, and other Clinical Issues
  1. Fee Scales: There are currently no fees for my services at Our Lady of the LakeCollege.
  1. Explanation of types of Services Offered and Clients Served: I utilize an eclectic approach in therapy, taking advantage of approaches that enhance the client’s ability to express their thoughts and stories. I employ Pastoral Counseling techniques, Client Centered, Systemic, and Cognitive Behavioral approaches. I also direct the Our Lady of the Lake College Peer Tutoring Lab. All services provided by me are open to all students of Our Lady of the Lake College.
  1. Code of Conduct: My services as a counselor are provided in a professional manner consistent with the ethical standards of the American Counseling Association. If at any time you are dissatisfied with my service, please let me know and I will resolve your concerns. If I do not resolve your issue satisfactorily, I will be glad to call in another Licensed Professional Counselor to intervene. 1. Client Responsibilities: You are a full partner in counseling. Your honesty and efforts are crucial to success. I expect you to keep appointments. If you are seeing a mental health professional, please inform me so that, with your permission, I can contact the other professional and develop a collaborative professional relationship.
  1. Medical History: Physical health can have a large impact on emotional well being. If you are currently taking any medications, please list those and give a brief medical history. If you have not had a physical in the past year, I encourage you to do so.
