REPORT ON THE ABSA NMMU STAFF AND STUDENT ROAD RUNNING LEAGUE 3 ON

The Third and final ABSANMMUStaff and Student Road Running League for 2010were held on 29Julyat the NMMU Summerstrand South Campus with a huge success. More than 185NMMU students and Staff have participated in the 2.4km road race on Campus.

The ABSANMMU Athletics Club organized the event to include all residents in all the hostels and Oppidani students (not residing on campus) to compete for the trophy of best Road Running team. The race was a circular route on South Campus of 2.4 km.All Staff and Students were invited to enter teams of minimum 5 members.

All STUDENT volunteers for the event were HMS and Sport Management students from the faculty of Health Sciences.Sports Bureau staff also assisted with the organization of the event.

All the winning prizes were sponsored by ABSA.

All Lucky Draw prizes were sponsored by ABSA, Action Sports, University shop and Summersrand Shopping centre
