Lesson Plan for 7 graders level B

Subject: The world map.

Objectives: The pupils will be able to identify the Continents of the world.

The pupils know the name of the countries in Europe, Asia and Africa.

The pupils will be able to name major cities and capital cites.

Procedure: the class will be divided into groups of 4 pupils each.

Each group will receive a map of the world and a list of questions.

One of the pupils will write down the information.

Each group will have to present their work to the class.

Rules: Look at the map given to you and try to answer as many questions as possible.

The group that wins is the one that comes up with as many correct answers as possible within the allowed time.

Time

Allocation: 30 minutes.

General Globe questions

1. How many continents are there? Write their names.

2. Which continent has the widest territory?

3. Which continent is the most crowded?

4. How many seas and oceans are there? Write their names.

Specific questions:

Africa

1. Write in alphabetical order as many countries as you can find in Africa.

2. What is the name of the southeast country in Africa?

3. find at least 5 capital cities and write down their names.

Asia

1. Which is the largest country in Asia?

2. What are the countries that you are most familiar with in Asia? Write five names with their capitals.

3. Write at least three countries in Asia that their names start with the letter "I".

Europe

1. Find as many countries in Europe as you can. Write their names.

2. Which is the northeast country in Europe?

3. Find at least five capital cities. Write down their names.

4. Paris, London and Rome; which counties these cities are the capitals of?
