Docksiders Level 9 Team Wins the 2017 Brestyans Invitational in Boston

Docksiders Level 9 & 10 Teams traveled to Boston, Massachusetts for the 2017 Brestyans Invitational. The 3 day event was held at Tufts University and hosted over 800 gymnasts over Martin Luther King weekend. Docksiders Level 9 Team won the Team competition. The Level 10 Team came in second place to the home team Brestyans. Docksiders also boasted 4 All-Around Champions.

At Level 10 in the Junior B age group, Ronni Binstock placed 1st All-Around with a 36.875. This was her third competition for the season and her third victory. Ronni placed 1st on Vault with a 9.525, 2nd on Uneven Bars with a 9.45, and 3rd on Floor Exercise with a 9.30. In the same age group Rebekah Jenkins placed 1st on Uneven Bars with a 9.50. Teammate Hannah Munnelly placed 3rd on Uneven Bars with a 9.30 and 2nd on Balance Beam with an 8.80. Logan Smith placed 2nd on Vault with a 9.50. In the Senior age group, Maria Ramsey placed 1st on Vault with a 9.60 and 3rd on Floor Exercise with a 9.325. In the Junior A age group Anaya Smith placed 2nd on Vault with a 9.50 and 3rd on Uneven Bars with an 8.775. Contributing to the Level 10 second place team win was the youngest team member Elizabeth Baraducci at just 13 years old.

At Level 9, the top score and 1st All-Around in the Junior B age group, went to Julia Heiner who scored 35.95. Julia placed 1st on Uneven Bars with a 9.60, 2nd on Balance Beam with an 8.60, and 3rd on Vault with 9.30. In the same age group, Susan Maranto came in 2nd place behind Julia with a 35.225. Susan placed 1st on Vault with a 9.40, 2nd on Uneven Bars with a 9.325 and 3rd on Floor Exercise with a 9.0. Sarah Zois placed 2nd on Vault with a 9.325 and 1st on Balance Beam with an 8.925. In the Junior A age group, Holly Snyder won 1st All-Around with a 36.65. She also placed 1st on Uneven Bars with a 9.35, 2nd on vault with a 9.35 and 3rd Floor Exercise with an 8.80. In the Senior age group, Sara Dugan placed 1st All-Around with a 35.175 and took 3rd place on Uneven Bars with an 8.775. Jordan Wagner placed 2nd All-Around right behind Sara with a combined score of 35.125 and was crowned Uneven Bars Champion with a 9.15. Shianne Marbley placed 2nd on Vault with a 9.25 and 3rd on Balance Beam with a 9.05. Teammates Emily Burke, Juliet Luers, and Kate Wolbart all contributed to the Level 9 Team win.
