GSSD Girl Advisory Board
2017-18 Application
We want to hear from the girls in khaki
Girl Advisory Board (GAB) is a girl-led group designed to enhance teen leadership in order to make changes in our community, inside and outside of Girl Scouts, by working with our executive team. Educate one another on diverse topics in order to implement change and become selfless leaders. Work with girls your age to create presentations, workshops, and lesson plans on relevant topics — and, most importantly, chat with Girl Scouts San Diego leadership about your experiences as a teenager in today’s society.
You must be prepared to make a one-year commitment to the group, including:
· Serving as a spokeswoman for the Cadette-Ambassador community
· Planning, facilitating and leading quarterly meetings with Girl Scouts San Diego’s CEO and monthly meetings with the group
· Jumpstarting campaigns that raise awareness about what’s been happening in Girl Scouting as well as the wider community for girls and women
· Participating in occasional opportunities in addition to scheduled meetings
Who should apply? If you’re a Senior or Ambassador with your finger on the pulse of today’s teen community, and are passionate about raising your voice and taking action to address key issues for girls … this could be for you! We’re looking for young ladies like you, who exude courage, confidence and character and want to work with our executives and each other to make their world a better place.
