Dance 101
for Theatre & Fun!
INSTRUCTOR Pauline Prawl. Pauline grew up dancing with Arthur Murray dance instructor parents, training with several studios, attending Sacramento School of Performing Arts, American River College and Sheri Kincaid’s, and teaching and doing choreography throughout her life! We are so excited to share with you three sessions of dance at The Barn! You saw her work in The Drowsy Chaperone, Godspell, Joseph, and She Loves Me! Now, you too can learn just for fun or to build confidence for that next audition! (Ages 16 & up)
ONE-March 5, 12, 19, 26 at 7:00-8:00 in The Barn Theatre classroom. Line Dance-Come learn the most popular line dances danced at weddings andcompany parties. We will learn a dance a week.
Cupid Shuffle, Wobble, Electric Slide, Boot Scootin.
TWO-April 9, 16, 23, 30 at Tues. 7:00-8:00 in The Barn Theatre classroom. Modern Jazz/Lyrical-
Learn a complete dance. This wonderful dance style interprets the music and lyrics of
the song. It’s been said of this style "it's like watching Angels dance".
THREE-May 7, 14, 21, 28 at 7:00-8:00 in The Barn Theatre classroom. Broadway Show Choreography-
Learn a Broadway routine. Become comfortable with Broadway Jazz. Want to try out for Musicals?
A little afraid of the Dance portion of auditions? This class will build your confidence!
