Summary: Responsible for the daily activities of the Key Cooperative S-14 location to enable full retail, wholesale distribution,and truck receivingof bulk dry and liquid fertilizer in a timely and efficient manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Supports Key Cooperative’s stated Vision, Mission, and Business Values.
- Projects a positive attitude to customers and employees at all times.
- Provides outstanding and courteous customer service.
Crops Protection Consulting Manager
- Promotes and supports the agronomy program.
- Develops and coordinates crop protection marketing programs.
- Establishes retail crop protection prices.
- Helps to minimize crop protection product inventory carry-over.
- Responsible for the negotiation of all Crop Protection rebate terms from manufactures on behalf of Key Cooperative.
- Interprets manufacturer programs and makes recommendations to agronomy plants staff regarding profit maximization.
- Audits manufacturer crop protection rebates.
- Responsible for the distribution of all Crop Protection rebates to Key Cooperative agronomy plants.
Agronomy Operations Manager
- Manages retail customer service & relationships.
- Responsible for all customer order data processing.
- Oversees customer invoicing and record keeping.
- Practices sound inventory management for all terminal fertilizer inventories.
- Meets or exceeds all regulatory compliance expectations.
- Organizes and directs all outbound fertilizer distribution.
- Plans and oversees all dry and liquid fertilizer receiving.
- Responsible for the plant and equipment maintenance of the S-14 location.
- Responsible for the grounds maintenance of the S-14 location.
- Responsible for the professional image of the S-14 location.
- Participates in safety training and reads and follows Key Cooperative’s employee policies.
- Accepts additional responsibilities and duties as directed by theLocationManager.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises the assigned employees at the S-14 location. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university and 7 years related experience, or a minimum of 10 years or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Valid Driver’s License
CCA certificate (not a requirement but will be considered an enhancement)
