Ministers In Training (MIT) Classes

Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m.

The first two classes will run through the end of November, the second class through the end of October and the third class for three nights in November.

1)  Bob Wilson: The Gospel of John – participate in an in-depth study of this amazing Gospel written by the “the disciple Jesus loved…”

2)  Pastor Joe: Selected Psalms – come and learn about the importance of the Psalms in the life of the Israelites and our journey as Christians.

3)  Donna Mitchell: Problem – Promise - Provision – experience an in-depth look into and find peace in a troubled world. This class is initially planning to be four weeks in October. (Oct. 3,10,17,24)

4)  Rev. Walt Crocker: Visitation & Communion Ministry - Nov. 7, 14 & 21. Come and learn the basics of Visitation and Communion ministry to our shut-ins, and those in the hospital and nursing homes.

Trunk or Treat G.L.O.W.

October 31st in the parking lot beside the church from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Contact Irene Bunting at 302-245-3458 if you are interested in helping that night. If you can donate any candy please drop them off at the church office.

Zeke 37

Zeke37, the student ministry of Salem Church, is open to anyone from 6th grade through high school. Unless otherwise scheduled, we meet Sunday nights from 6:30 to 8 PM. Can dry bones live again? Yes! Like Ezekiel, we are carrying a life-giving message to the youth generation.

Skate Night

Every Friday evening, DJ Mike Diesel plays Christian music at skating which starts at 6:30 p.m. and ends at 8:00 p.m. Cost $1.00!!

Healthy Church Initiative Workshop

Monday, November 2nd, at Bethesda UMC in Salisbury, MD, Bishop Peggy Johnson will facilitate a workshop on the Biblical, Theological and practical insights into the ministry of Evangelism. Gathering time: 6:30 p.m. Start time: 7:00 p.m. Ending time: no later than 9:00 p.m. Please write “Evangelism” on your attendance card if plan on attending & riding over in the church van! No fee!
