YEAR 7 HOMEWORK GRID TERM 2 WEEK 1-3

Housework is compulsory every night. Parents please sign off each activity as it is completed. You must complete all of the shaded tasks, plus two others of your choice. All tasks should be recorded in your homework book, unless otherwise stated.

BE A LIFE LEARNER

Housework
/ Complete some of the family housework each day. Making your bed, taking out the rubbish, washing dishes, setting the table for dinner etc…
Shopping with parents / Rounding numbers.
Round the cost of each item on your shopping docket to the nearest 10 cents.
Reading
/ Create a new blurb for the back cover of your current reading book. How would you design it? What would you include on the blurb so that people were intrigued by the story and wanted to read it. Design it on 1 A4 page of your homework book.
INQUIRY
/ What has determined your history?
Plan and research the information you require to present a family tree and your personal history story to the class. Interview your family members and collect photos etc to include in your presentation.
Ask you parent if they have had a family tree completed.
Research extra information on John Ramsden Wollaston.

/ Check the website for 10 maths questions.

Become the Teacher / Show your parents how to find the volume of a shape at home. Explain the formula and how to apply it.

/ Create a piece of music or choose your favourite piece of music and write about how it makes you feel.
Art
/ Research an Australian artist and how they have contributed to the history of Australia in a visual sense... Can be a modern artist or an Aboriginal artist or one that represented life in Australia. Find a picture or sculpture by the artist.
