By train:SNCF: There are direct trains from Paris Montparnasse Station to Poitiersdowntown about every hour or even from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport to Poitiers. You must buy your ticket before taking the train.

Trains leave on time so make sure to give yourself enough time to find your way around the station. As in most bigcities, the stations are large and crowded. When booking your ticket in advance, please remember that it can take awhile to pick up your luggage and go from one terminal to another, especially in Charles de Gaulle airport.
