Company Profile David Thomas has been making lenses since 1972, although David Thomas is a private family company, we are also one of the largest independent manufacturers of gas permeable lenses in the U.K. We supply a wide range of both gas permeable and soft lenses and export to over 40 countries worldwide. Nova Contact Lenses was merged with David Thomas Contact Lenses Limited in November 2004. Director Graham Avery is the current President of EFCLIN. The Company is also a member of the ACLM.
Company Activities The Company is the exclusive licensed UK manufacturer for the Rose K2 keratoconus lens design and also exports this lens to a number of foreign markets. It is also the exclusive UK manufacturer of Essential RGP Multifocal lens from Blanchard Laboratoires in Canada and the exclusive UK manufacturer of the Rinehart Reeves Orthokeratology lens design. David Thomas distributes the Paragon CRT system in the UK. David Thomas distributes the PCT-100 Corneal Topographer from Optopol in Poland throughout the UK. The Company supplies its Freshcare range of monthly replacement soft lenses in spherical, spherical with aberration control and toric formats. The Company is the exclusive UK and European manufacturer and distributor of the Comfort O2 rigid silicone hydrogel material supplied by The Lagado Corporation in the USA.
Products/Services The Company provides a range of RGP lens designs using the very latest contact lens materials from Polymer Technology, Paragon Vision Sciences, Contamac and The Lagado Corporation. We also supply a range of lathe cut soft contact lenses. A full fitting and consultation service is provided to practitioners to help with contact lens fitting and the company has a reputation for dealing with difficult contact lens fitting cases. The Company is at the forefront of new developments and is always seeking new partners and technology and interested parties acting as distributors.
