From Amsterdam Central Station:
Ø Tram number 4 until the last Stop Amsterdam RAI (Station RAI is adjacent to the Holiday Inn)
Ø You can buy a 1hr, 24hr or 72hr travel card either at Schiphol Station or at GVB ticket machines or at the Tram ticket office outside Amsterdam Central Station. You can also buy a 1hr ticket from the conductor on the Tram. This ticket must be scanned at the machine on the tram when you board or get off
From Schiphol Airport:
Ø Buy a ticket at the machines or ticket counter
Ø Take the train to Station Amsterdam Rai (not Amsterdam Central Station) in the direction: Lelystad or Hilversum. The Holiday Inn is adjacent to the station - about 3 to 4 minutes walk.
Ø The train departs every 15 minutes from Schiphol to the Station Amsterdam RAI 2nd stop from Schiphol
Ø Taxi: ± 15 minutes 40€ - 45€

*** Taxis : Only take taxis from Schiphol taxi rank and not from those soliciting in the arrival hall. Avoid taking taxis from the taxi rank at Amsterdam Central Station at night. You can best arrange a taxi in front of the Victoria Hotel opposite Amsterdam Central Station; ask the hotel concierge to call for a taxi or dial (020) 6777777 for the reliable Taxi Service (TCA). Watch out for pickpockets!!
