10 min. / Elena Kayak spoke about the Native American Summer academy and the separation of food waste. She thanked Galloping Grace Ranch for participating in this program and thanked PDSE, CDNE, MCES and EHES for their part in this project as well. She spoke about the Green Team and the different community activities that also support food separation. She said they meet on the 2nd Tuesday of every month and invited NAPAC members to attend.
RRPS New Vision / RRPS Vision / RRPS Admin./
10min. / Victoria presented a slide show of the RRPS Vision – which is to find and develop potential in every student. To ignite passion, growth, and achievement in each student. And how the district as a whole will achieve this goal.
What is NAPAC

10 min. / Victoria did a map about what determines a successful NAPAC meeting. Several members provided input, few suggestions were:
Good Attendance and participation, Presentation by different groups, collaborations. As a NAPAC we have opportunities to contribute to the vision of RRPS, Resources to benefit our children-how to/who to access for resources, Support one another in reaching our own growth, passion and special skills, and potluck ( to eat during the meeting), childcare, and student activities.
Review of current grants and areas of focus / Capture ideas from the committee regarding areas of focus & review Core Values deployment / Members in attendance/
30 min. / Find out about school supply reimbursements, ACT fees, school site projects, culturally and linguistically responsive book study, lesson development, etc.
Summer Academy
Parent opportunities – CESPD Back to School Family Institute to be held in November. Victoria offered the opportunity for members to attend.
