About the Position:
The Retail Industry Leaders Association is a dynamic organization representing some many of the most recognized retail brands in the United States. RILA is looking for an organized, customer-focused individual to assist the association in its member services and marketing efforts. The coordinator will work closely with peers across the organization and report to the senior vice president of member services. We are looking for someone with energy and a positive attitude. This position will be based in Arlington, Virginia right above the Rosslyn Metro Station.
Summary of Position:
To work with the senior vice president of member services to act as main receptionist for the organization and to assist both the membership and marketing departments.

Position Responsibilities:
· Serve as primary receptionist, greeting guests and callers in a professional and welcoming manner and meeting their requests. Answer calls promptly. Respond to general questions and route callers to appropriate persons within the association. Take messages and follow up as required.
· Ensure the front desk is operating as it should, e.g. scheduling coverage, arranging for courier service/package pickup as needed, sorting and distributing mail, faxes, packages and any other incoming communication.
· Assist membership team with maintaining the member database, updating membership materials and preparing briefing materials for member visits.
· Assist marketing team in executing agreements with partners (media, trade associations, events, etc.) for conferences.
· Assist communications team with disseminating news releases.
· Assist with conference registrations, as necessary, as well as registrations for special events, and attendee communication.
· Various special projects as assigned
Education:
Associate degree accepted. Four-year college degree preferred.
Experience:
One to two years in related work experience.
