This session will be a primer in how and why you develop a good website for your marketing efforts and the importance of tailoring it to your particular audience. This session will discuss websites in the 21st century’s “yellow pages” and “de-mystify” them. You will take home practical information on how to get a website constructed, vetting providers, and what to look for in website development. You will be challenged to become engage in your company’s website regardless of the company’s size and/or your position.

Every executive knows that numbers play a critical component to the success or failure of a company, but not everyone is aware of which numbers are more important and why. Former AGMA Chair, and Executive Vice President of Schafer Gear, Stan Blenke, will discuss how you find the right economic indicators for your business and how best to use those indicators when developing an effective business forecast tailored to your unique company. Additional topics for review include overhead trends, accounts payable/receivables and recent changesin federal tax law.

Mr. Kurkcu will update the attendees with the current market outlook for steel consumption both her in the United States and globally. Trends and statistics dealing with durable goods, raw materials, and the truck and car sales, will all be addressed.

The American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) is quickly approaching our milestone centennial celebration in 2016. Over the past 100 years, AGMA has seen dramatic changes in membership, technology, and how we conduct our business. This mirrors how both the gear industry and the ways of the world have changed in the last 100 years.
Joe will review where AGMA is today and how we have arrived to this point. The benefits of a member-driven organization, including grassroots efforts, training, technical program, leadership and networking will all be highlighted. Lastly Joe will offer perspective on where the industry is headed for the next 100 years.
