I) Parking Lot Closure – Ryan – 11/8/14 we will be losing a bay of parking in the bookstore parking lot for the spine connection between the new engineering building and the health sciences building. Once the spine is completed, everything will go back to normal. Where are you advertising? Green and Gold Daily, notice will go out to all emails as well. What will happen with the parking meter? We will be meeting about that next week, info should go out next week. Where are you redirecting these people to park? Just the other lots in the area, we don’t have a lot of other options. The building and spine wont be open until next fall? Will this affect shuttle routes to help students that need to park farther away? I’d like to say yes, but it will take a while to see the impact from this. When will the garage be finished, and will they allow spaces in platinum garages to go to students? Garage will be open next fall, this new garage will be yellow passes. Central garage will remain platinum passes only. Are they planning any accommodations for students with disabilities? We do have a good number of ADA spaces around campus, if you know of any specific issues, please let us know so we can help accommodate those students. With BMH about to be done, is that lot going to open back up? Yes it will. DSS went on a building blitz the other day to make sure all buildings are ADA accessible, if you have issues please let DSS know about it. What will happen between new engineering building and bookstore? Right now there are pathways, long term they are hoping to put in another spine.
