Dear Eleventh Grade CP Students:

The English Department of Glen Ridge High School believes that summer reading is the best way for a student to continue the learning process and make transitions to new classes. Therefore, we are requiring you to read the novel All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr over the summer in preparation for your eleventh grade English course. This novel was published in 2014, and it won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction. The book is currently available in hardcover and e-Book editions, such as Kindle and NOOK book. You will be assessed on the reading within the first week of your return to school in September.

Additionally, a list of suggested readings for your enrichment is on the back of this letter.

Have a restful, healthy and productive summer. READ ON!

Sincerely,

The GRHS English Department
