2016 Season Information
Please read and keep this for your records
-Youth Football Clinic with the BRHS Varsity & JV players will be held on Friday August 12th. This will take place at the high school football practice field, time TBD. Clinic will be different this year as players will be participating in contact drills provided they have completed the practice requirements for suiting up during the 1st week of practice. Coaches will have more information during practice that week. PLEASE PLAN ON ATTENDING, THIS IS PART OF YOUR REGISTRATION FEE!
-MANDATORY Multi-team scrimmage and weigh-in will be on Saturday, August 27th. Time & Location TBD. If your child is not present at weigh-in they will not be eligible to play a backfield or end position during the season.
-***New for 2016*** Physicals, ALL paperwork and remaining registration and/or jersey balances MUST be turned in at your equipment pick up night. No equipment will be handed out until everything is turned in. NO EXCEPTIONS. Also, please make a copy of the physical for yourself for use in other sports! If you had your physical taken at the school physical days you will need to get a copy of it from the school or the clinic running it.
-In an effort to have jerseys ready for our multi-team scrimmage, they will be printed over the summer. Once jersey is created there will be no refunds and the remainder of your balance on jerseys must be paid if your child decides not to play in the meantime.
-Football practice will start on Monday August 8th. You will be contacted by your coach prior to this.
-Football equipment pickup is scheduled for the following:
Monday August 1st for 7th grade
WednesdayAugust 3rd for 5th & 6th grades
ThursdayAugust 4th for 3rd & 4th grades.
All 6:00-7:30 p.m. at the PFY storage area in the 41/42 building (The Dungeon).
Registration balance must be paid in full and ALL paperwork turned in before player can receive equipment.
Please have your child try on all equipment after you get home to doublecheck the sizing and for any missing snaps, clips or other issues. We will have an equipment exchange date on Sunday August 7th at 6:00 at the 41/42 building.
-No metal cleats are allowed.
-First games of the year will be Saturday September 10th and will run thru Saturday October 15th. Schedules will be available towards the end of summer.

Is A Member of the
Central Michigan Youth Football League
Basic Information:
- Football players will play with kids in their own grade regardless of their weight
- We will have the following teams:
- 3rd/4th Grade Combined
- 5th Grade
- 6th Grade
- 7th Grade
- There will be one weigh-in for the year at the Multi-team Preseason Scrimmage on Saturday August 27th(Time/Location TBD). This will be their weight for the season. IF YOUR CHILD DOES NOT ATTEND THIS WEIGH-IN THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PLAY A BACKFIELD OR END POSTION ON OFFENSE, OR BE A RETURNER ON PUNT RETURN OR KICK RETURN.
- We will have the following weight restrictions:
- Offensive Backfield (QB, RB’s)
-3rd/4th Grade = 95 lbs.
-5th Grade = 110 lbs.
-6th Grade = 125 lbs.
-7th Grade = 150 lbs.
B. Offensive Ends (TE, WR’s)
-3rd/4th Grade = 105 lbs.
-5th Grade = 120 lbs.
-6th Grade = 135 lbs.
-7th Grade = 160 lbs.
C. Anybody heavier than these weights for their respective grade level will play offensive line.
D. There are no weight restrictions for defensive positions.
3. Please be advised that areas can charge admission fees to the games in this league. League prices are $3 adult, $1 students and seniors. PFY has decided to not charge at our home games at this time.
4. PFY Playing time rules: Provided player has attended every practice during game week they will have a starting spot for the game. This can be on one or more of the following teams: offense, defense, kickoff, kickoff return, punt or punt return. If player misses one practice during game week they will miss the 1st qtr of game, miss 2 practices of game week they will miss 1st half. Player must participate in at least one “contact” practice to participate in more than half of the game for that week. Also, provided that player has attended every practice for game week they will get at least 2 starts on either offense or defense for the season. A “start” is defined as the first four plays from scrimmage on either offense or defense.
