C List contains the names of persons considered by the Committees of Boxer Clubs to have sufficient knowledge and experience of the Boxer to be supported to judge the breed at General Canine Societies Limited and Open Shows.

Breed Specialists: see definitions for 6 clear continuous years showing before commencing judging. Club secretaries will need to check.

Non-Specialists: see definitions, are required to have judged at least 25 classes of Boxers.

NB judging of breeds with over 5 classes cannot be included (see KC Boxers Band E)

Specialists: Must have judged over a period of at least 4 years, making 10 years from first exhibiting Boxers at Open and Limited General Shows, as well as Boxer Breed Club Special Puppy Events and judged 75 Boxers at a minimum of 4 judging appointments.

Non-specialists:Must have judged at least 35 classes of Boxers, and judged a minimum of 100 dogs and to be on the B List of another breed.

Specialists: Must have completed the following qualifications.

  1. Must have attended a seminar given by a KC Accredited Trainer and the relevant examination on part 1, K C Regulations and Judging Procedures.

Non Specialists: Must complete the same qualifications as for the specialists, unless they have been approved to award CCs in another breed at which time they are only required to:

All applicants for the B list must apply to the nearest Breed Club who will approve the application and forward to the Breed Council Secretary to be included on the website.

The Boxer Breed Council recommends that all applicants should at this stage continue to attend the remaining seminarsand complete the stewarding requirements.

Also the A2 assessment (judging of five dogs, placing and writing of critiques and one to one with assessor can be completed sooner rather than waiting.) Remember 2 other assessments are required when judging Open/Limit Breed Shows (at least 1 assessment must be obtained at an Open Show).

A3 Listscontains the names of persons who as yet have not been approved by the KC and who are considered by the Breed Council to have sufficient knowledge of the Boxer and experience of judging the breed to be recommended and supported to award challenge certificates.

A3 persons will be assessed by the KC when judging their first appointment.

If applicants have completed breed assessments (judging 5 dogs etc. and 2 assessments to be completed at Breed Open or Limited Show. At least 1 assessment must be obtained at an Open Show then they can ask through the Boxer Breed Council Secretary to apply for A2.

SpecialistsAt least 100 dogs must have been judged at breed club show level. If more shows/numbers are required then Boxers judged in breed classes at Championship Shows without CC’s and Boxer Breed Club Special Puppy Events can be counted as long as the applicant was on the B List when the invitation to judge was issued.

Applicants must have attended a “Movement & Conformation - Hands-On” Assessment conducted by a KC Accredited Trainer and passed (KC Policy 1/7/05).

Applicants must have stewarded for at least 12 occasions/days at Open or Championship Shows, (KC Policy). The Breed Council will require stewarding books with each show signed by the judge or secretary.Stewarding books only will be accepted as evidence.

Non-Specialists At least 125 dogs at Breed Club Open/Limited Shows. More shows maybe required. ( At least one must be a Breed Open Show).

Must have awarded Challenge Certificates in at least one other breed.

Having completed the formand checked all relevant certificates are attached. 2 copies must be sent to the Breed Council secretary (these will be checked by the Breed Scrutineers). Once vetted, the Breed Council secretary will then request sixteen copies, these will be sent out to all Boxer Breed Clubs for approval and voting. Final ratification will be given at Breed Council.
