Q1) Who is the current contractor for the armed security guard services?
A1) The current contractor is A1 Protective Services, Inc.
Q2) What is the awarded bill rate and the current bill rate for the current contract?
A2) The awarded bill rate is $26.48 and the current bill rate is $29.27.
Q3) How many security officers are required at each location?
A3) Per page 7 of the RFP, Section D (SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS), Item 2 states:
The staffing requirements vary from nine hours per day to 11 hours per day, five days per week, for a total of 51 hours per week and 52 weeks per year. The positions require split shift coverage for lunch and overtime since they exceed eight hours per shift. Contractor shall provide additional personnel to cover morning and afternoon breaks, lunch breaks, vacation, sick time, and other leaves as required.
Q4) If a bidder is unable to provide five current and five former references, will the bidder be disqualified?
A4) The RFP requires that each bidder has to provide five current and five former references. If a bidder is unable to provide the required number of references, bidders may use page 12 of Exhibit A-Bid Response Packet if they have any exceptions, clarification, amendments to the RFP’s terms and conditions. Please note, the County is under no obligation to accept any exceptions and such exceptions may be a basis for bid disqualification.
