UNDERSTANDING THE BIBLE
Texts from the Bible, the word of God, are proclaimed at every Eucharistic celebration. Yet we often know little of the place and context of those texts within the Bible as a whole. How does a 21st century mind find relevancy and meaning in literature written over 2000 years ago? Join Pierre LaViolette, parishioner and part-time lecturer at Saint Paul U, in an exploration of the What? Who? Where? When? How? Why? of the Bible on Wednesday evenings, 7:30-9:30 from Sept. 21 to Nov. 23. Registration: or 613-232-5347. Cost: a donation of $50. is suggested, with all donations going to the Catholic Centre for Immigrants.
