DEPARTURE & ARRIVAL TIMES
Departure: Saturday, February 13th @ 8:30am from Anderson High School parking lot (8403 Mesa Drive, 78759). Please arrive by 8:00am
Return: Sunday, February 14th@ 5:00pm at Anderson High School parking lot. Once the bus leaves Camp Buckner we will communicate with parents a more specific time of arrival
Make sure you eat breakfast before you arrive. Feel free to bring drinks and snacks on the road but please know that there are no snacks or drinks allowed in the cabins in order to avoid a bug problem.
If your student needs to depart early, please contact our admin, Anne Evans, for an early release form.

PACKING LIST
It is important to bring clothes to camp, but not your entire wardrobe!! LUGGAGE SPACE IS EXTREMELY LIMITED!!
•Please limit your luggage to one small duffle or a soft-sided suitcase. (It’s only one night).
•You will want to bring casual clothes including shorts, jeans, tennis shoes, t-shirts, (no swim suit needed), and a jacket as it will be cool at night.
•BRING a sleeping bag/linens and towel.
•THEME NIGHT costume will be announced before camp.
•All medicines, including over the counter items, must be placed in a zip-lock bag with your student’s name written on it. We will collect these at the bus before departure.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: How many beds are in each room? Will there be a leader in each room?
A: Rooms range from accommodations for four to sixteen people. A leader or two will be in each room.
Q: My student really wants to room with their friends, is that possible?
A: Students will be assigned rooms with their friends and leaders from home.
Q: Does my child need extra money?
A: Camp Buckner has a gift shop/snack bar if you want to purchase t-shirts, gifts, extra milkshakes etc. My suggestion is between $10 - $20 for extras, but you can bring whatever you want.
Q: I have a camper who is allergic to wheat, gluten and peanuts. What can we do?
A: Please notify staff and arrangements can be made with the kitchen staff ahead of time.
Q: What about my kid’s iPod oriPhone?
A: You may bring your cell phones, iPods, DVD and CD players on the road, but we will take them up prior to camp. They will be held in a safe, locked place until we leave to come home.
Q: How will students get to camp?
A: We use RRisd school buses, a professional charter bus company.
Q: Will my child be able to contact me during camp?
A: Yes, a camp phone does exist and students will be able to use it as they need.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Young Life prohibits the use of illegal drugs and alcohol, anyone choosing to bring such items will be sent home at his/her own expense. As well, the Camp Director will deal with any disruptive behavior and students may be sent home at his/her own expense if there is no compliance.
