Job Title: Catering supervisor
Department: Catering
Location: Dolgarrog, Conwy
Reports to: Catering Manager
Job Role Summary:
You will be expected to supervise the serving of food, drinks and coffee. You will control staff under supervision. You will also serve light meals snacks and cakes. The prime duty is to supervise the main servery, although help in the bar or on the coffee outlet will be part of your role.
You will be expected to ensure our customers have an excellent experience in all catering aspects.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks
· ensure the Servery ready for opening
· Checking and taking floats to tills ,ensure cash balance is correct.
· serving food in a tidy and professional manner
· liaise with Head Chef.
· Portion control
· Stock control on all display areas
· Ensure all areas are clean and tidy, work areas, equipment juice machines filled.
· creating displays of stock
· doing stock checks and ordering new stock
· Ensuring all lounge and restaurant areas are clean tidy and clear at all times.
· Open and closing checks.
· To ensure hygiene standards are of the highest level
· Carry out your responsibilities in a professional manner at all times.
· To ensure customer service is of the highest standard at all times.
· To assist in the bar and coffee outlet
Qualifications and experience required:
· Level Two Food Safety ( preferred )
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
· The ability to use a till in an effective manner, including balancing cash is crucial
· The ability to maintain good working relationships within a team operation.
· Operational knowledge of safety procedures
· To be able to Identify customer needs
