Impact
The impact on pupils’ PE & Sport participation and attainment / *Children are developing key specialist skills – which can be taken to competitions and into after schools/outside clubs
*Mr Russell’s (from Premier Sport) sessions have had a positive impact on members of staff who have been upskilled and gained new skills
*Aston won the Street dance Competition at Helsby High – 30 KS1 & 2 children took part
*The purchase of new equipment has enabled us to hold a new after school club.
*Play leader & Mid-day assistant training – provided by A Senior (School Sports Co-ordinator SSco)- this has had a positive impact on the whole school with structured games and activities at playtime.

September 2015-2016

In 2015-2016 it is our aim to raise the profile of PE and promote a healthy lifestyle within our school. We are going to hold special Sports themes days and weeks during the year. (National Skipping Day, Euro 2016, Olympics 2016, Healthy Week). We aim to attend competitions held with our local cluster schools and try new sports (Fencing).

Impact
The impact on pupils’ PE & Sport participation and attainment / *Sept-Hockey/Oct- Rugby coaching- provided children with a broader experience of a range of sports
*Oct-Dodgeball training from SSCo meant that the leaders could deliver sessions and class competitions
*Oct- Brand new Gymnastics after school club for EYFS/KS1- taught by a former gymnast. – This has improved the children’s self-esteem and confidence
*Oct-Quicksticks hockey/Rugby tournament allowed the children to compete in a district competition and engage/ foster relationships with other schools
*Nov- Mid day training with EYFS and Yr3/4’s. A Senior (SSCo) delivered specific ‘fun’ activities to enable structured games at playtime
*Nov- EYFS/KS1 Multi skills day- allowed the children to experience a Sports event competing against our school partners- all children benefitted from the active, new challenges in a sports hall environment
