Resume

I have been actively involved in land access issues since 2000, and aware of the problems developing with access to public land since 1976. Resume items that might be relevant to your consideration are outlined in the following paragraphs.

Foremost, I am the creator and executive producer of two television programs that frequently deal with the problems and issues of land access. At Your Leisure is nationally syndicated on two national, one regional network as well as being seen across Utah, eastern Nevada and southwest Wyoming. AYL is the outgrowth of The Utah Trail, which specifically dealt with motorized off highway vehicle recreation and that program first aired in 2000. AYL is in its 10th season, broadcasting 52 original episodes per year.

I was one of the original board members of MACC (Multiple Access Conservation Coalition) which operated for over two years as a political coordinating organization representing many varied interests in multiple access, from Off highway vehicles to farming and ranching to mineral extraction.

I also served on the recreational marine Inter-industry Task Force on boating, a nationally organized task force commissioned to research, devise and produce a report on the decline of the recreational boating industry.

I have had experience in the non profit association sector as the executive director of the Utah Independent Automobile Dealers Association, the Utah Marine Dealers Association, the Automotive Service Council and the Utah Association of Chiropractic Physicians, giving me a good insight in the functioning of industry related non-profit organizations.

Most important is the fact that I am a westerner. I was raised in the west and I hold dear the values and traditions that made the west. I have witnessed the growing federal regulatory encroachment on lands and lifeblood of the American west. I am always determined and willing to help preserve the freedoms and responsible conservation that has overseen the stewardship of the west for 100 years. Thank you for your offer to serve and your consideration of my credentials.
