Dear Sir or Madam,
I have a laptop computer running Windows 10 that starts up without the need to enter a password, but when my desktop computer, also running Windows 10, starts up, it asks for a password. I just press the Enter key to make Windows continue loading. How can I get rid of the request for a password?
How can I get rid of the need to enter a password to log on to Windows 10?
Yours faithfully,
Peter Wilkinson

Dear Sir or Madam,
My son spends time playing games when he should be doing his homework on his computer that runs Windows 10 Home. I would therefore like to know if it’s possible to prevent him from playing games while allowing him access to MS Office, which he uses to do his homework.
How can I limit my child’s access to games on a computer running Windows 10?
Yours sincerely,
Ellen Smith

Dear Sir or Madam,
I have a computer running Windows 10 Home, and I need to know how to create a System Restore CD like the ones that the most brand-name PC manufacturers provide as a back-up solution. I’m getting sick and tired of having to reformat and reinstall everything from scratch after my system crashes and won’t come back to life.
How can I create my own home-made System Restore Disk?
Yours sincerely,
Sam Usher

Dear Sir or Madam,
The AutoPlay feature in my computer, which is running Windows 10, has stopped working. I’ve tried all of the options presented under the AutoPlay tab that comes up when I right-click on the CD drive under My Computer and then click Properties – and the options made available in the Device Manager for the drive. My computer came with a System Recovery CD. Is there any way I can make use of it to fix the problem?

Dear Sir or Madam,
I have a computer running Windows 10. I installed the Norton Security (NS) suite and have been having a problem with the Norton Personal Firewall. If I disable it and re-enable the Windows Firewall everything works just fine. However, when I reboot no firewall is enabled and I have to re-enable the Windows Firewall manually. Symantec’s support said that the Windows Firewall is disabled because the Norton Personal Firewall is the primary firewall and a system shouldn’t have two firewalls providing real-time protection at the same time, but they can’t tell me how to reset it even though it was NS that changed this setting. The OEM vendor of the computer couldn’t care less, and I can’t get any help from Microsoft because my copy of Windows is an OEM product supported only by the vendor. I have thought about reinstalling Windows 8.1, but, before I take this drastic step, is there any solution to the problem? If not, can you tell me how to reset the Windows Firewall as the primary firewall so that I don’t have to keep re-enabling it every time I use the computer?
Yours faithfully,
Gisela Bulsing
