FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1.  What will be involved in the Georgia Impact Stewart tryouts?

Tryouts will include: Fielding skills, Defensive skills, Offensive skills, Base running skills (including timed 60 foot dash), Teamwork/Communication and Effort skills. There will be a minimum of 5 coaches evaluating these tryouts.

2. How will you be notified regarding the outcome of Georgia Impact Stewart tryouts?

The Head Coach will not call everyone directly. The Georgia Impact Stewart Team will be announced in an email to all participants in the tryout. However, if you wish to call the Head Coach directly with any questions after tryouts or when the team has been announced, please feel free call. Please note…the Head Coach will be happy to discuss your child’s evaluation only.

3. What is the cost?

The cost will be determined by the Head Coach.

4. What’s included in the total cost?

Each player will receive the following:

Bat Bag Helmet

2 Uniform Pants 2 Practice Jerseys 5 Game Jersey 3 Belts

Team Roster Shirt (Year End) Practice Shorts

2 Pair Socks Sweatpants

Sweatshirt or Hoodie

*All Tournament Fees are covered by team

*All Tournament Registration costs are covered by team

*All Tournament Insurance costs are covered by team

5. What is the projected practice schedule?

We will hold weekday & weekend practices to be determined by the coaches once the team is selected. Practices will be held at the Elite Sporting Goods Field, 658 Grayson Highway, Lawrenceville, GA 30046 and the Elite Sports Training Academy, 905 Grayson Highway, Lawrenceville, GA 30046, along with some practices possibly held at local public parks.

6. What is the projected Fall schedule?

We are looking to play 2 to 3 Fall tournaments…beginning in October. We will be working on speed & agility training in December, along with practice in January & February.

7.  What is the projected Spring schedule?

We are tentatively looking to play 10-12 tournaments beginning in March and ending in early August. The majority of these tournaments are within an approximate 2-3 hour driving distance. Our goal is to end with an ASA National Berth or Premier Girls Fastpitch National Berth.

8. Will the team be flexible with other Winter season activities?

We encourage your child to participate in other activities such as Basketball, Girl Scouts, etc… We will work around any conflicts during the Winter season. However, when Spring season arrives, we expect 100% commitment to our softball schedule.

9. What’s involved with fundraising?

We do not have any planned team sponsored fundraising for the upcoming year.
