Goal Gizmo () launches; innovative site aimed at ages 3-6 and parents

SOUTHBOROUGH, MA, ISSUED MAY 10, 2011…Goal Gizmo ( an innovative company providing success systems for pre-kindergarten & kindergarten students and their families, today launched its website,

This is one of 11 divisions under the umbrella of Practical Goals, a woman-owned business founded in 2008.

Goal Gizmo, as shown on the newly-launched website, offers a number of Success System products including chore chart boards with “gizmos” to be used by children and their parents; wearable items (shoes, hats and wristbands) on which to wear the gizmos, the U-Design kits and Gizmo Chore Chart Merit Boards.

The Goal Gizmo is one of a number of products that are part of a revolutionary system which encourages children to accomplish their chores and achieve goals by earning merit reward “gizmos” for successful behavior. Parents are encouraged to add some of their parenting tasks to the board as well so that both children and parent are working together for self-improvement. For instance, a parent might list “read together 4 nights” or “have 3 sit-down family meals together”.

The program is centered around “The Gizmo,” a re-attachable piece of artwork. “By working with the human desire “to want”, the Goal-Gizmo success system encourages both children and parents to achieve and accomplish the tasks on the board, thus building strong families based on communication , hard-work and mutual respect,” said Daryl Crockett, CEO of parent company Practical Goals. “It’s amazing how much effort both kids and parents will put into something when there are clearly defined goals and tangible rewards,” she adds.

For kids, the Gizmo kits are a measurement of endless creativity and self-expression. Children can earn, collect and trade gizmos and even create their own gizmos. Each child can add the appropriate ‘gizmo’ for each successful task, and each will looks uniquely different,”

Key elements of the Gizmo include:

  • A green product, using fewer natural resources
  • American made, brings jobs back to the U.S.
  • Products designed for children in preschool and kindergarten ages 3-6 and the whole family
