Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope all is well and you are feeling prepared for the upcoming holidays. As students know, we will be completing a Skillstutor module this year in Reading which we have already started. It will be worth a total of 30 project points, which is a very large grade. Assignments must all be completed by ______.

Other than the posttest, Skillstutor will be graded as completion. Students must earn an 80% on each lesson. It is not necessary to retake a lesson to earn over an 80%. Ideally, students will pass each lesson the first time and be able to move on. However, taking a lesson multiple times and finallycompleting it in one minute defeats the purpose. Please encourage your child to take their time the first time.

Skillstutor can be time consuming; however students should have a large portion done. Social Studies and Reading also focus on the same modules, so students will have other class time to work on Skillstutor. Late assignments will not be accepted. Please do not wait until the last minute to finish Skillstutor as it will be impossible to do so.

This is a very important grade that should be taken seriously. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.
