PARKING POLICY

  1. Efficiency and one-bedroom units are limited to one vehicle per unit including two-bedroom units on Starr Place and W. Texas Street. Households with two adults may request permission for a second vehicle thatmust be parked in the visitor parking area.
  1. Two and three bedroom units are limited to maximum of two vehicles per unit.
  1. Residents that do not own vehicles are not automatically entitled to a parking space.
  1. Management shall designate parking areas for resident vehicles. Parking spaces are not assigned except in the family area on S.Scribner Street.

E.When guest parking is not available guest must part on the street. Exception: resident's requiring physical assistance from vehicle to unit may allow guest to park temporarily in resident parking until resident has successfully been assisted to unit. Guest must then relocate vehicle to street or guest parking area.

F.Management will regulate the time, manner, and place of parking cars, pickup trucks, motorcycles and bicycles. Trailers, boats and recreational vehicles are prohibited. Vehicles must be moved at least once a week or will be considered abandoned and will be removed. Vehicles in the process of moving residents in or out of housing property may be parked for not more than 24 hours. Management may have improperly parked vehicles removed from the premises at the expense of the owner. A vehicle is prohibited on GHA property if it:

1.has flat tires or other conditions rendering it inoperable;

2.has an expired license or inspection sticker;

3.takes up more than one parking space;

4.belongs to a Resident or Resident's household member who has surrendered or abandoned the unit;

5.is parked in a marked handicap space without the legally required handicap insignia;

6.blocks another vehicle from exiting;

7.is parked in a fire lane or designated "no parking" area;

8.is parked in a space marked for other residents; or

9. is parked on the grass or other area not intended for parking.

  1. No vehicle may block another vehicle from exiting;
  1. No vehiclemay park in a fire lane or designated “no parking” area at anytime;
  1. Vehicles may not parkin a space marked for other residents;
  1. Vehicles may not park on the grass or other area not intended for parking.
  1. Management shall have improperly parked vehicles removed from the premise at the expense of the owner.
