Name: Form P6
PRE-INTERVIEW TASK: GUIDANCE FOR WRITING UP A MENTAL HEALTH ACT ASSESSMENT SHADOW
Candidates must write up a reflective account of one of the Mental Health Act assessments that they have shadowed in preparation for the AMHP course. They must submit this piece of work together with the application form. It should be approximately two sides of A4 and as well as commenting on the assessment itself and the implications for those involved, a particular focus should be placed on demonstrating a critical understanding of a range of models of mental disorder, including the contribution of social factors.
Please anonymise the case and provide appropriate referencing of reading and material used in the write up. This case will be discussed at interview.
