Monday-
**How is the collecting going for the Glow Run?? It sounds like a fun activity for those that choose to participate.
*This week we will be reading a fantasy book called, How Groundhog’s Garden Grew. The new vocabulary words are:
crops, sprouting, blossomed, drooping, underneath, harmful, fortunate, and promised. The new spelling words have aw, al or o sound, they are:
tall, saw, dog, draw, call, fall, soft, paw, ball, yawn, log, small, all, walk, awful and wallpaper. Spelling homework is due on Thursday, April 14. The IXL language arts skills to work on are M.4, M.5, and M.6.
*The eggs are nice and toasty in our incubator (99-100 degrees F) for the next several weeks. We expect our chicks to arrive on April 28 or 29.
*This week’s IXL champ was Olivia Sellers, no one was even close to her time of 1 hour and 31 minutes. Our new Eagle award winner is MaKynna Ertman. Way to go girls!
Tuesday-
*All picture packets or money needs to be returned ASAP.
*Continue to search for good “junk” for our rummage sale to raise money for Relay for Life. We have some stuff but need lots more if it is to be a success. We have scheduled it for Thursday, May 5. Thanks.
*All library materials are due today!!

*Please help your child study for Topic 11 math test by completing wkbk. pgs. 683-686 and returning it on Friday. Thanks.

*Math test on Topic 11, Subtraction to 1,000.
*Please have your child read “How Groundhog’s Garden Grew” to you over the weekend.
*Our next topic in math is Measuring Length. We will learn how to measure length different ways to the nearest inch, foot, yard, centimeter, and meter.
