EXTEC ROBOTRAC

We have great pleasure in providing you with our technical data for a fully self contained tracked mounted screening plant:

-Extec Robotrac.

The main components from a screening perspective are:

  • Remote control tipping grid hydraulically operated; wide main conveyor to allow free flow of material to high frequency, scalping and screening arrangement with quick mesh change mechanism. Fully tracked and self-propelling allows total mobility via standard excavator tracks and speedy set through unique design.
  • The frame of the unit is specially designed to meet the high demands of screening operations. The track size is 891 with the tracks being driven by two hydromatic hydraulic piston motors.
  • The whole unit is powered by a diesel engine primarily a Deutz BF4M2012 4 Cylinder 111 hp water-cooled.
  • A unique feature of the Robotrac is that in comes as standard with many features that are additional extras for many machines. Thus the Robotrac comes complete with:

-Remote control tipping grid

-full remote control

-Vibrating grid

-stepped grizzly

-spring loaded scraper.

  • Screening occurs after oversize material has been rejected by the hopper grid and material has been fed from the grid onto the main conveyor. Three main variables affect the screening capacity:

-material feeding

-grid angle

-screen meshes

  • Material feed rate is regulated by the feed control which is situated within the hydraulic control panel. The maximum feed rate may be achieved when the optimum grid angle has been determined.
  • The Robotrac undertakes a scalping process which enables the separation of large materials from aggregates, fines, and any re-usable material. Coarse meshes are suggested for this operation - typically 80mm. Finer meshes may be used but if the original material is sticky or wet then there is a greater tendency to clog the mesh. The grid angle should be set at about 25 degrees for dry consistently sized material. Where a higher proportion of the material is fines or less than 6mm, the grid angle should be set higher at 30 degrees or above.
  • Where two sizes of material are required the grid bar configured with a tapered bar with a top gap of 95mm and a bottom gap of 130mm thus allowing an easy throughput of material causing less blockage with reject material.
  • Undersize material will fall through onto the mesh and depending on size will either fall through into the hopper for undersize stockpiling or will combine with the rejected over size material. The material type will dictate the angle of grid and speed of conveyor; adjustments will therefore be necessary to achieve best results.
  • The size of the machine means that it is ideal for contractors and operators because of its absolute mobility. Even relatively small deposits can be used with the expensive and time consuming transport of rock, concrete etc. avoided. The unit is run onto a low loader for transport and when arriving at site screening may be commenced virtually immediately. When used in conjunction with a crushing system such as the C-12 aggregates and other products may be produced on the spot.
