Lleywelyns son is in a cradle and the prince gets home and finds his baby dead on the ground and kills Gelert thinking that he killed his baby. Then he hears a sound and sees a dead wolf on the ground and his baby unharmed so he killed his dog for no reason.

After he had shot Gelert he saw half of a wolfs body behind the cradle.

When Llewelyn was back he saw the cradle knocked over then Gelert walk in with blood on his paw. A brave respected prince called Llewellyn he lived in a castle deep in the rugged mountains of Eryri, in the country of Gwynedd. Prince Llewellyn loved His favourite hunting dog named Gelert. Gelert was a faithful and fearless hound. No game was too big, too stronger to fierce for Gelert, whose bravery knew no bounds. As Llewellyn stood rooted to the spot, he felt a soft, warm, velvety nose nuzzle the palm of his hand. He looked down to see Gilbert’s trusting eyes gazing up at him. The dog looked exhausted but wagged his tail weakly. His head and paws were strained with blood because Gelert killed his son. But Gelert didn’t kill his son.
