POSITION TITLE: Human ResourcesIntern
DIVISION/DEPARTMENT:Human Resources
REPORTS TO:Human Resources Coordinator
FLSA STATUS:Hourly, Non-Exempt
Position Summary: Krapf Human Resources is currently seeking a three-month summer intern to assist with general recruitment, compliance and administrative responsibilities for the Human Resources Department. This opportunity will provide a well-rounded experience for someone interested in pursuing a career in the Human Resources field.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Accept and demonstrate the Krapf Core Values of commitment, open communication, respect and excellent service in all activities
- Assist with Chester County Driver Recruitment including Group Interview Sessions, phone-screens and new hire orientation
- Answer incoming phone calls in a professional, courteous and pleasant manner
- Complete and conduct employment verification requests on behalf of current or prospective employees
- Process Unemployment Claim Requests
- Maintenance of employee files including filing, audit and purge management
- Provide general office clerical support
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
- Bachelor’s Degree (or in pursuit of) with a focus in Business Administration and/or Human Resources Management
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (preferably Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Prior experience with a Human Resources Information System
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail
- Integrity and the ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to handle difficult situations professionally including excellent phone communication skills
