Legal Liability

1. Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or The Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies, nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories, or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.

2. The organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards.

3. All non Pony Club competitors are not covered by the Pony Club insurance and must have their own third party cover. The South Trent branch of the Pony Club and the organisers of this event are not legally responsible for non Members and their insurance will not cover you.

Photographic Rights – competitors and their parents/guardians have given permission for any photographic and/or film or TV footage taken of persons or horses/ponies taking part in Pony Club events to be used and published in any media whatsoever for editorial purposes, press information or advertising by or on behalf of The Pony Club and/or official sponsors of The Pony Club

9 – 9.30am Cross poles/elevated ground poles

9.30 to 10am Jumps 30cm

Entrants can be led, assisted or unassisted.

£6(ST £5) entry on the day at the ring entrance. Rosettes only if rider is not entered for a class.

SINGLE PHASE competitionon a surface, second part of the course will be timed and 5cm higher.

Distances set for ponies

10am Class 1 Jumps 35cm

Entrants can be led, assisted or unassisted. No spread fences. Riders in this class can only enter class 2 as well

11amClass 2 Jumps 40cm

Entrants can be led, assisted or unassisted. Maximum of three spread fences.

12noonClass 3 Jumps 45cm

Entrants can be assisted but not led, or unassisted.

INFORMATION

Teams of 3 or 4 competitors, best 3 scores to count.

Individual entries will be formed intoa combined team by the organiser where possible.

Rosettes - Team and individual rosettes to 6th place in each class. Eliminated teams will not receive rosettes. Prizes for individual winners.

Hattagging available on the day

Entry fee £10 per entry per class.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

  1. The event will be run under Pony Club Show Jumping Rules 2017. Tack and dress must conform to these rules.Hats must be PC (white) tagged.
  2. Ponies can enter a maximum of 3 classes excluding a training round. Siblings can share a pony in the same or different classes.
  3. No entry accepted without fee. Entry fees will only be refunded for withdrawals made before the closing date or if STPC cancels a class.In this case only the cancelled class will be refunded and not any other class entered by the rider, sibling, friend etc.

On the day entries will be taken at the organiser’s discretion if classes are not full. Entries are limited on a first come basis. Please send the entry form and the completed declaration form together with the fee by October 25th. Emailed declarations accepted but a paper copy is required in the café on the day before the class starts. Entry forms must be signed and scanned or posted.

  1. The organisers reserve the right to amend the times of classes or cancel according to entries. If less than 3 teams in a class, the class will run as an individual competition only. If less than 6 individual entries by the closing date the class will not run.

  3. Each team to provide an efficient arena party to poo pick and pole pick for their members.
  4. Park considerately and very tightly.Please clear up droppings from around where you park and do not feed hay on the outside of trailers/boxes.
  5. Be safety conscious at all times. Take great care with young/inexperienced children and ponies.
  6. Combinations placed 1st or 2nd in classes 1, 2 or 3 at STPC June 2017 Mini SJ competitioncannot enter the same or lower class this time unless special circumstances are agreed with the organiser.
