Let’s Think: Professional Development
Let’s Think professional development programmes are specifically designed to improve teaching and learning, by:
- improving subject knowledge;
- supporting teachers to improve their pedagogy by improving classroom talk;
- enabling teachers to develop a classroom culture that promotes learning.
All training can be run as delegate courses, at whole school level or with clusters of schools.
It is helping me to learn alongside the children in an open environment where the questioning and challenging of ideas is encouraged (and celebrated). I am learning to respond more effectively to children's ideas during the lesson. (Primary teacher)

Coaching model:
Coaching supports small groups of teachers (for example a year or subject team) and runs over a term as a minimum:
- Observe Let’s Think Tutors teaching exemplar lessons;
- Team plan and teach lessons alongside a Let’s Think Tutor;
- Let’s Think Tutors observe and coach teachers to improve their practice.
Short projects:
Let’s Think offer shorter INSET options for schools or clusters, for example: developing pupils’ thinking skills; creating a questioning classroom; improving social construction – managing classroom dialogue; collaborative learning; developing pupils as independent learners; improving metacognition; aspects of subject matter, for example handling data, poetry, forces, etc.
Costs: All Let’s Think Tutors are accredited by King’s College and charge £600 per day
