Thermostat Club Information
Background: While thermometers only change to conform passively to their surroundings, thermostats function differently. After they’re set, thermostats make a difference by actually changing their surroundings. The Littlefield Thermostat Club is a special group who has shown outstanding academic achievement and great potential for changewithin themselves and the world around them. Congratulations on being invited to join!!!
Club Goals: Each Thermostat will…
- reach his/her 212th degree in order to meet or exceedacademic and behavioral Beta Club standards.
- perform as an active, productive member.
- maintain final grades from last year or improve them. Beginning with the 2nd report card, students who don’t meet this standard will be placed on probationary status.
Meetings: We will meet at 8:10 in Miss Kim’s room, Annex 541, on December 18, 2014. Be prompt!!
2014-2015 Thermostat Theme and Relay for Life T-shirt Contest: “Intense Synergy”
Each Thermostat is invited to submit an original t-shirt design for a contest with a $25 first place prize. On white paper, the design should include: 1) the theme,“Intense Synergy”2) a thermostat (not a thermometer), whether realistic or cartoonish, 3) school year and 4) club name, by January 5, 2015. Submit as many entries as you want!
