Number of Members: 33 paid members Current Account Balance= $18,576.81

The Central District held/participated in the following meetings during 2017.

  • Board meeting 3/20/17 at Hendricks Regional Health and 4/21/17 at Palms
  • Board and district meeting 6/6/17 at IU Health North
  • Board and district meeting 8/7/17 at Lois and Sidney Eskanazi Hospital

March 20, 2017 Annual Planning meeting

April 21, 2017 IONE Spring Conference, Cultivating Nursing Grit for Today’s Dynamic Climate

Board meeting discussion included annual planning, tax exempt status, officer positions, membership drive and welcome letter revisions

June 6, 2017 Meeting included a Transitions into Practice panel discussion

August 7, 2017 Meeting included a panel discussion on “Best Practices for Quality Measures”: Fall Prevention Program and Reduction of CAUTI, CLABSI and Nurse Honor Guard program has begun at Community Health Network. Members educated open format of board meetings.

October 18-20, 2017 IONE Fall Conference@ French Lick

November 15, 2017 will be theCIONE Holiday Meeting @ Binkley’s, in the Kessler Room

  • Annette Handy from IHA Patient Safety Center to share current Patient Safety work in Indiana as well as IHA updates.
  • District will be conducting a community service project to provide toiletry holiday bags for low income seniors which will be donated to CICOA Aging and In Home Solutions. (Board members present agreed to utilize funds from account to supply 25 packages as well as accept donations from members).

Additional information:

  • Tax exempt status completed
  • Accomplished addition of one member from long term care arena, opportunity to continue to increase active members
  • CIONE has an opportunity to improve communication about upcoming meetings and meeting structure, Lisa Imlay will observe a SWIONE district meeting on December 1, 2017
  • 2018 meeting dates scheduled for 3/14, 6/20, 8/22 and 11/14/18 @ 5:30 PM
