GENERAL INFORMATION

How to get to Galway

  1. By plane to Dublin International Airport
  2. Then by direct coach from Dublin International Airport to the Coach Station Galway;
  3. journey time is between 2.5 and 3 hours
  4. there are frequent coach services (WiFi & toilet onboard)including:CityLinkandGoBus,
  5. coaches depart approximately every 30 min from 6:15 to 00:30 every day; timetables are available on:
  6. tickets may be purchasedfrom a driver on a coach or booked on the service providers’ websites (links above).

-In addition, Shannon AirportandIreland West Airport Knockare both approximatelyone hour's drive from Galway, however bus services from both are not so frequent and have many stops in comparison with connections with Dublin International Airport. How to get to the University

National University of Ireland, Galway campus is in walking distance from the city centre. However, you can take a taxi to the university, or take the Bus (Route 404 at bus stop No. 5, Note: No Sunday service) in the direction of Newcastle. All buses may be found in Eyre Square, near the train and Galway Coach Station, which is the normal drop-off point for buses arriving from Dublin Airport. You may also purchase your ticket from the driver on the bus.

Bus Route- Bus travels towards Woodquay,turns left to pass the Cathedral and then travels past NUIG's main campus entranceand on to the IDA Galway Business Park. It is possible to exit the bus at the main campus entrance (Bus Stop No.1) and follow the campus map attached or continue on and exit at a stop closer to the north campus (Bus Stop No.2).

Venue

The Training School will be held in the New Engineering Building (on Google Maps)on the campus of the National University of Ireland, Galway. The campus itself is situated on the banks of the RiverCorrib, close to the centre of Galway. The New Engineering Building is number 21 on thecampus map.
