On arrival in Cochin at 0335hrs you will be met by our Tour Escort who will be assisting you throughout the trip and transferred to your hotel.
Morning free to relax
In the afternoon visit Greenix Cultural Centre with an informative display on various art and dance forms, followed by a performance of different dance styles including Kathakali Dancing
Day 3
29.10 / Cochin / Cochin / The Killians
During the morning go on a guided tour of Fort Cochin, visiting the Chinese Fishing Nets, St Francis Church, Mattancherry Palace and the Synagogue.
Afternoon free
Day 4
30.10 / Cochin – Munnar / Munnar / Tea County
Morning drive 4hrs to Munnar, surrounded by tea plantations and scenic views. In the afternoon visit tea plantations and the tea museum
Day 5
31.10 / Munnar / Munnar / Tea County
Morning guided trek for 3 hrs to enjoy the local flora and fauna. Afternoon free for your own activities
Day 6
1.11 / Munnar – Periyar / Periyar / Tree Top
Morning drive 4hrs to Periyar. Afternoon elephant experience where you can wash, feed and ride an elephant. Evening watch a demonstration of Kalaripayyat , traditional Keralan Martial Arts
Day 7
2.11 / Periyar / Periyar / Tree Top
There are a variety of activities available in Periyar depending how active the group members wish to be. It can be as relaxing as a boat ride on Lake Periyar to a full day jeep and trekking trip or a scenic jeep safari with no trekking. Please let me know the options you would like included
Day 8
3.11 / Periyar – Kalaketty – Alleppey / Alleppey / Punnamada Resort
Morning descend into the foothills of the Western Ghats to Kanjirapally where you will stop at a working plantation estate for a tour of the plantation and traditional Keralan lunch prepared from many home grown ingredients. Later in the afternoon continue 2.5hrs to Alleppey and check into your Backwater Resort
Day 9
4.11 / Alleppey / Alleppey / Punnamada Resort
This morning head out for a Heritage tour of Alleppey run by the local Conservation Society where you will see more hidden aspects of this small backwater town and the industries and handcrafts that have been passed down through the generations.
The afternoon is free – here there is a good Ayurvedic Massage centre
Day 10
5.11 / Alleppey ( Houseboat) / Alleppey / Air conditioned Houseboats
Leisurely start to the day and at 12noon your private Houseboats will come to the resort and pick you up start a cruise through the canals and lagoons of the Backwaters around Alleppey. Meals will be served on board. There is air conditioning in the bedrooms from 9pm – 6am
Day 11
6.11 / Alleppey - Poovar / Poovar / Isola Di Cocco
After breakfast on board you will arrive at the main Alleppey Jetty at 9.30am. Drive South to Poovar, just south of the main Kovalam Beach area. Here your resort overlooks a narrow backwater canal and across to the ocean. The drive will take around 4hrs and the rest of the day is free. Isola Di Cocco has an extensive Ayurvedic Massage Centre for the group members to arrange treatments with the resident Dr

7.11 / Poovar / Poovar / Isola Di Cocco
Day free at the Beach
Day 13
8.11 / Poovar / Poovar / Isola Di Cocco
Day at the Beach and/or shopping in Trivandrum
Day 14
9.11 / Poovar – Trivandrum airport
Transfer 1hr to Trivandrum airport for your flight home at 0435. Arrival Sweden in the afternoon
