I General Provisions
Objectives of Traditional Piece ofJewelry of Nessebar International Folklore Festival 2016
-To treasure and popularize folklore heritage
-To stimulate interest in and awaken love of generations to folk art
-To urge exploration, preservation and spreading of folklore
II Organizers
Organizers hosts of the Traditional Piece ofJewelry of Nessebar International Folklore Festival 2016 are Municipality of Nessebar and Community Cultural Centre „Yana Laskova 1905” , Nessebar.
III Entitled to participate are as follows
-Bulgarian and foreign folk singing groups, bands, ensembles, soloists and formations /duets or ones up to quintets/ that perform authentic or altered folklore
-Bulgarian and foreign folk dance groups, ensembles and clubs of people who perform authentic or altered folklore.
Participants are divided in two categories
Professionals
-Students or people with professional education from art schools, specialized classes of Secondary Schools of General Education and high schools, institutions of higher learning and academies
Amateurs
-Community cultural centres, art centres, training courses, clubs and participants with occupations that are different from music jobs
Age Groups
1st Age Group – from 11 to 15 years of age
2st Age Group – from 16 to 18 years of age
3st Age Group – from 19 to 25 years of age
4st Age Group – over 25 years of age
Age shall be determined up to date 5th June 2016.
IV. Participation Regulations
Participants in the Traditional Piece ofJewelry of Nessebar International Folklore Festival 2016 should present their own programme with the following regulations
MUSIC PART – A FOLKLORE SONG
PROFESSIONALS
-individual performers/singers/ should perform two songs from one and the same folklore region with duration up to 6 minutes
One of the songs has to be a slow one / without measure/
-Folk groups should perform two songs with duration up to 8 minutes.
One of the songs has to be a slow one / without measure/
-Choirs /more than 8 people/should perform two harmonized songs with duration up to 8 minutes.
One of the songs has to be a slow one / without measure/ and the second one – a ring
dance song
-Folk singing ensembles /more than 16 people/ should perform a programme with duration up to 16 minutes
One of the songs has to be a slow one / without measure/
Songs may be performed with live music accompaniment or instrumental recording
On a CD
Participants without musical accompaniment – acapella are welcome to participate as well.
Playback performances shall not be admitted

CHOREOGRAPHY PART – FOLK DANCES
PROFESSIONALS AND AMATEURS
Authentic Dance Folklore
-Groups presenting and ceremonies
-Duration of performance up to 12 minutes
-No restrictions in the number of performers
-Minimum half of the performers in the group have to be above 16 years of age
Altered Dance Folklore
-Chamber dance groups /up to 7 people/ should perform 2 dances with continuance up to 8 minutes
-Dance groups /with more than 7 people/ should perform 2 dances with continuance up to 10 minutes
-Dance ensembles /with more than 16 people/ should perform a programme not longer than 16 minutes
Dances may be performed with live music accompaniment or instrumental recording on a CD
CHOREOGRAPHY PART – FOLK RING DANCES CLUBS
Clubs of people in a group of more than 8 performers are admitted to participate with a programme up to 6 minutes long which includes 2 ring dances from one or more folklore regions.
Dances may be performed with live music accompaniment or instrumental recording on a CD.
Age limit – performers over 16 years of age.
FOLK ENSEMBLES
PROFESSIONALS AND AMATEURS
Folk ensembles /a choir, an orchestra, a dance group/ should present a programme up to
20 minutes long.
V. Jury and Awards
- The festival is of a competitive type
- Performances of participants will be observed by a jury of experts in the sphere of folklore art.
- All the participants in the festival will receive a Honorable Diploma of Participation.
- All individual performers /singers/ and groups at the final placing shall be awarder a Honorable Diploma of Participation, a plakette from the organizers and financial prize.
- Jury decision shall be final.
- Awards ensured by Nessebar municipality.
- Prize fund of the festival is 4000/four thousand/ BGN Leva
Grand Prix – Part Music – Folk Song – 500 Leva
Grand Prix – Part Choreography – Folk Dances – 500 Leva
VI. Financial Provisions
All participants in the festival shall pay a participation fee.
-For foreign groups, bands. Formations, clubs for people, ensembles /all sections/ a participation fee 20.00 Leva (inclusive of VAT) for each participant shall be paid.
-For foreign individual performers /singers/ a participation fee of 30 Leva (inclusive of VAT) shall be paid
-An individual performer /singers/ who takes part in a singing group, a choir or an ensemble shall ,ay only the fee of 30 Leva (inclusive of VAT)

VII. ADITIONAL PROVISIONS
-Order for participation shall be determined by the organizers
-Organizers retain their right to make changes in the festival programme
-Travel, accommodation and board costs are at the expense of the participants
-Organizers retain their right to photograph, film and record the festival performances aiming creation of an archive and promotion of the festival, without payment of copyright or compensations.
