Profile: Main Purpose of Job
Implement supply chain strategies that achieve cash releasing savings, process improvements and service redesign. Manage internal operations and resources to enable the delivery of saving targets, quality improvements and day to day operations. Build professional relationships with all stakeholders. Initiate and lead change to enable all enhance expertise and build own and the team’s capability and potential.

Lead and develop teams

Day to day management
  • Manage the supply chain service and ensure all goods are supplied through cost efficient routes.
  • Undertake effective budget planning and management in accordance with procedures.
  • Ensure all staff follow the Trust’s corporate governance rules and implement supply chain policies and procedures.
  • Manage the production of supply chain deliverables and control risks.
  • Develop a culture of flexibility and rotate staff to achieve fast and efficient delivery for clients.
  • Make sure that all overtime worked by the staff is monitored, recorded and submitted in line with Trust policy.
  • Implement HR policies and procedures across and ensure all staff attend training programmes.

  • Provide and receive complex data and information in relation to supply chain activity and performance.
  • Ensure all financial incentives are monitored and agreed targets achieved.

Necessary Experience and Qualifications
  • CIPS, degree level or equivalent expertise.
  • Computer literate.
  • 3 years experience in a complex quality based organisation.
  • Proven track record of resolving queries and influencing people and building collaborative partnerships with suppliers/clients.
  • Experienced of team, operations and project management.
  • Understanding of business and the NHS arena.
  • Evidence of continuous development in supply chain, procurement of operations management.
  • Experienced practitioner in supply chain, logistics operations, purchasing, logistics or inventory management.
