ROBBERS INVOLVED IN AUTO ROBBERY ARRESTED

With the arrest of three accused persons (1)Mohd. Raheesh @ Jawal age 27 years R/o Vegabond ISBT Kashmiri Gate Delhi, (2) Ram Chander Age 48 years R/o 1/3920, Bhagwanpur Khera Loni Road PS Mansrovar Park Delhi and (3) Kali Charan @ Pandit Age 50 years R/o Laxmi Garden Indira Puri Gaziabad UP, North District has busted a Gang of Criminals indulged in robbing passengers in autos.

Team & Incident

On 5/02/09 SI Narender Singh Incharge Police Post Manju Ka Tilla alongwith ASI Kishan Singh, Ct. Mohinder Paul, Ct. Sanjeev Kumar and Ct. Sudesh Kumar where on patrolling and arrangement duty in connection with Tibetan rally at Outer ring Road near Majnu Ka Tilla. They saw a person being thrown from a Three-wheeler after having being looted by three people. SI Narender Singh alongwith staff chased the TSR No.DL1RK-7062 and caught the TSR. Three person namely Mohd. Raheesh @ Jawal, Ram Chander and Kali Charan @ Pandit tried to run away from the spot but they were caught by the police.

Investigation

During the course of investigation it was revealed that Mr. Rasidul boarded a Three-wheeler from ISBT Kashmiri Gate to Old Delhi Railway Station for Rs10/- . When TSR started moving two more people boarded the TSR. TSR driver moved his TSR towards Majnu Ka Tilla Wazirabad in spite of going towards Old Delhi Railway station. When Mr Rasidul objected the auto driver Ram Chander threatened him. When the TSR reached at Outer Ring Road Majnu Ka Tilla near Tibetan Colony Mohd Rais forcibly took out cash Rs 400/- from Rasidul and Kali Charan forcibly took away the Mobile. After that they threw Rasidul out of the TSR. Rasidul cried for help and all the accused were chased and apprehended by the police. The robbed cash and mobile have been recovered.

Profile of accuseds

(1)Mohd. Raheesh @ Jawal Age 27 years R/o Vegabond ISBT Kashmiri Gate Delhi, Illiterate. He is residing at ISBT Kashmiri Gate Delhi under the flyover since last3-4 years. He started his criminal activities two months ago.

(2)Ram Chander Age 48 years R/o 1/3920, Bhagwanpur Khera Loni Road PS Mansrovar Park Delhi. He is an auto driver for last 15 years and is involved in criminal activities for last 2 months alongwith his associates.

(3) Kali Charan @ Pandit Age 50 years R/o Laxmi Garden Indira Puri Gaziabad UP. He is illiterate and auto driver for last 20 years and is involved in criminal activities for last 2 months.

Recovery

One Nokia Mobile and rupees 400/- cash recovered from the possession of the accused persons.

The team of Special Staff/NWD has arrested three snatchers namely (1) Faizal @ Faisal s/o Sh. Babu Khan r/o 242, C-1 Block Yamuna Vihar, Delhi (2) Bijender @ Vijay s/o Sh. Badan Singh r/o D-522, Gali No. 13, Bhajanpura, Delhi (3) Dalip s/o Sh. Jawahar Lal r/o C/o House of Ravinder, Gali No. 1, behind Triveni Hospital, Shadatpur Village, Delhi and recovered two snatched gold chains and two M/cycles from their possession and two cases of snatching have been worked out with their arrest.

With a view to keep a check on the incidents of snatching and to nab the criminals involved in snatching, the Special Staff of North-West District had been sensitized and check had also been intensified in the area of North-West District. On 06.2.09, a team comprising of SI Rajesh Kumar, SI Ramesh Singh, HC Vinod Kumar, Ct. Krishan, Ct. Kuldeep, Ct. Bijender and Ct. Anil Kumar of Special Staff/NWD led by Inspr. M.S. Malik, I/C Special Staff under the close supervision of Sh. Chandra Has, ACP/Operations/NWD received a secret information that two notorious snatchers would come on a M/Cycle Apache Black to Pitampura via AU Block Kudda Khatta Road for disposal of snatched gold chain. On this information staff laid a trap near AU Block Kudda Khatta Road and apprehended the above said accused persons and recovered one snatched gold chain from the possession of Bijender @ Vijay.

During sustained interrogation accused disclosed that they used to snatch gold chains specially from ladies mostly during morning, afternoon and in the evening time on their Motor Cycle and disposed off the same to different persons through their family members.

On 07.2.09, a team comprising of SI Rajeev Shah, Ct Jai Kishan, Ct Rajesh and Ct. Anil of Special Staff/NWD led by Inspr. M.S. Malik, I/C Special Staff under the close supervision of Sh. Chandra Has, ACP/Operations/NWD received a secret information that one notorious snatcher would come on a M/Cycle Splender Hero Honda DL-5S Y-4479 for disposal of snatched gold chain. On this information staff laid a trap near Gol Chakkar Pitampura near Haiderpur Canal and apprehended the accused Dalip and recovered one snatched gold chain from his possession.

Islam r/o Gali No. 2, Saini Sweet wali Gali IInd Pushta Delhi, (4) Raju s/o Ram Sahay r/o Jhuggi No. 3887, Tonga stand Mori Gate, Delhi and (5) Mohd. Firoj s/o Mohd. Hasab r/o c/o Hasaab, Metro depot jhuggi gate No. 2 Shastri Park, Delhi, with their one associate namely Afzal s/o Liyakat Ali r/o HNo. B/178 Welcome, Delhi, Special Staff of North-West District has busted a gang of dacoits and worked a case of dacoity-cum-kidnapping of PS Chankaya Puri, Delhi and recovered silver ornaments worth Rs. 11 lacs (weighing 50 Kg.) (approx.) from them.

BRIEF FACTS :-

With a view to keep a check on the incidents of robbery and to nab the criminals involved in robbery, the Special Staff of North-West District had been sensitized and checking intensified in the area of North-West District. On 29.1.09 a secret information was received in Special Staff of North-West District through informer that one notorious gang of dacoits who was involved in a dacoity in New Delhi District area, would come at Machhi Market MCD Flats Jahangir Puri for disposing the looted booty. On this information team of Special Staff consisting of SI Rajesh Kumar, SI Rajeev Shah, SI Ramesh Singh, HC Jai Prakash, HC Mukesh, HC Vinod Kumar, HC Trilok Chand, Ct. Krishan, Ct. Sandeep, Ct. Kuldeep, Ct. Anil, Ct. Rajesh, Ct. Satyawan, Ct. Vijay and Ct. Shahir, led by Inspr. M.S. Malik, I/C Special Staff under the close supervision of Sh. Chandra Has, ACP/Operations/NWD laid a trap at Machhi Market MCD Flats Jahangir Puri and apprehended the said five dacoits while they were coming in two TSRs and recovered silver ornaments weighing 27 Kg. On their disclosure further recovery of silver around 8 Kg. were also effected.

On 4.2.09 staff received a secret information that one Afzal who is receiver of said looted property, would come in the are PS Keshav Puram for disposing the looted property. On this information staff laid a trap near Kanhaiya Nagar Metro station and apprehended Afzal s/o Liyakat Ali r/o HNo. B/178 Welcome, Delhi and recovered 14.6 Kg. silver ornaments from his possession. Accordingly he was arrested vide DD No. 59B dated 4.2.09 u/s 41.1.(D) Cr.P.C. PS Keshav Puram, Delhi

INVESTIGATION :-

During interrogation the accused disclosed that one Shaukat, who is the driver of the TSR in which the consignment was being carried, gave information to the above accused that he used to deliver silver and gold jewellery from old Delhi area to Airport and if the same was looted they could make quick money. On this, all the above accused alongwith Shaukat, Kalia, Montu and others carried out a plan. On 21.1.09 at around 11 PM they stopped the TSR of Shaukat near Malcha Marg by blocking the TSR with the help two other TSRs and looted the consignment on the tip of knives while TSR driver and two other employees of the firm were on their way to hand over the consignment from old Delhi area to Delhi Airport. They kidnapped the employees by tying their hands forced them to another TSR. Thereafter they threw the two employees of the firm in jungle near Budha Garden and drove the looted TSR alongwith Shaukat and looted property to Shastri Park area in trans Yamuna. There they distributed the looted booty among themselves. Shaukat went back to their employees and claimed that he alongwith other two employees was kidnapped by dacoits who looted the consignment meant for delivery at Delhi Airport. Driver Shaukat and his other associates are still at large alongwith looted property.

On 11-02-2009 at 10.55 AM, Shri Vijay Gupta s/o Late Sh. Nanhe Lal Gupta r/o A-32, Gali No.6, Mahindra Park, Delhi reported that his daughter Jyoti aged 8 years was left at school gate Swami Viveka Nand Model School, Adarsh Nagar, Delhi at 7.45 AM by her mother Keshar Devi. When the child was checked at 10 AM it was revealed that the child did not come to school. A case vide FIR No.34 dated11-02-09 u/s 363 IPC was registered at P.S. Adarsh Nagar and investigation was taken up by ASI Mohd. Swaley under direct supervision of SHO/Adarsh Nagar Sh. Ram Chander Sangwan and Additional SHO Sh. Mahavir Kaushik. Immediately the raids were conducted at various places.

At 4.15 PM HC Rajnath Singh (I/C PCR Van Victor-19), Const. Satish No.2991/PCR and Const. Yogesh Kumar No.4536/PCR who were on duty in Tilak Marg area noticed a person aged about 25 years carrying a female child aged 7-8 years in suspicious condition. The PCR staff examined him who could not reply satisfactorily. The person and the child were brought to P.S. Tilak Marg. The police of P.S. Adarsh Nagar had already given message and details to all the police station in Delhi. The police of P.S. Adarsh Nagar was informed about the facts and thus the accused Sadiq Akhatr @ Raju s/o Abid Hussain r/o Vill. Chhittepur, Distt. Azamgarh (UP) was arrested and the child was recovered. Accused Sadiq Akhtar had been employee of complainant for 03 months and left the job about 9 months back. The timely action of P.S. Adarsh Nagar and PCR staff fetched the good results and the life of child was saved. The accused had kidnapped the child for demanding the ransom from her parents. Girl stated that she was being threatened by the accused that he would kill her if she shouts and would demand Rs.5 lacs from her parents. But he could not succeed in his motive. The investigation is in progress.

Five Leopard Skins seized

Two arrested from Alipur, Delhi

The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has arrested two persons and seized five leopard skins from them. One accused hails from Nahan, Himachal Pradesh while the other is from Yamuna Nagar, Haryana. They had come to the city to sell off the animal skins hoping to get a price of Rs. 80,000/- to Rs. 1 lac for each of them. They revealed that all the five leopards had been trapped and killed in the forests of Himachal Pradesh by their associate known only as ‘Bengali’. The arrested persons are:
