*For the SBS major, students are strongly encouraged to take LAC 210 Creative Critical Inquiry to fulfill the CI requirement (or alternatively, to take a Critical Thinking courses as a general elective). The SCA requirement is met with ANT 101, SOC 100, and SBS/HRD 200, however LAC 220 U.S. Democracy: Origins and Development is recommended (or alternatively a “government” or “civics” course) to prepare students for SBS 430 Applied Social Policy.
