Wednesday 21stDecember 2016 Meeting Minutes
Meeting invitees Thundridge Parish Council (Steve Bosson (SB)),Barratt Homes (Malcolm Nicholls (MN)) andEHDC Planning and Enforcement (Kim Shenton (KS)).
Main and secondary pipes crossing North Drive (Flood avoidance)
MN advised that all parties had agreed the legal documents. Engrossing of the documents is awaited, but notice has been issued to all parties that the work will start w/c 9th January2017.
Advance notice will be posted in North Drive. SB also requested that the farmer be informed.
Following a review of the plan, SB and KS both requested an e-mail copy of the appropriate plans. Action MN. MN was able to confirm that the works should take a few weeks and will include blocking off of the existing drainage pipe under the North Drive houses and replacing that with a pipe that will drain back into the ditch on the North side of North Drive.
Out of hours emergency number
SB requested that MN supply an emergency phone number in case flooding occurs over the holiday break. This is required as the drainage status in North Drive is actually worse now than it was before the development was built for a variety of reasons. Action outstanding from previous meeting MN.
Vehicles accessing Canterbury Park direct from North Drive after moving temporary fencing.
This had been reported to EHDC Planning Enforcement. The fencing continues to be moved. MN will again request that it is better secured. Action outstanding from previous meeting:MN will get the fencing more effectively secured post meeting).
Provision of a no step connection Canterbury Park to North Drive.
MN confirmed that DW Homes do intend to complete this work. However, since a recent visit of Councillor David Andrews to the area, there is a lack of clarity regarding how the work is to be completed. Action KS to confirm the requirements with planning.
Treatment of hedging on the North Drive boundary.
MN stated that the planners had agreed the removal of the existing vegetation and its replacement with a 1.8M mixed native hedge.
Fence levels between the play area and the rear of High Road Houses
Due to removal of the old site office it was not practical to access this area on this visit. MN stated that it was likely that some of the boundary may have to have a retaining wall installed prior to the installation of the 1.8M high fencing.
Delivery to site issues on High Road
Delivery Lorries have been stopping in the High Road and unloaded across the road into the site. This is dangerous and causes issues for road users as it blocks the line of vision from the chicane.
Visit of Michael George – a new date is urgently awaited to review items from the 2014 letter to #s 15, 17 and 19 North Drive. Action outstanding from previous meeting:Action MN.
