The Kindergarten Teachers

We are so excited to have you join us this 2016-2017 school year at Harris Creek Elementary School! The following is a list of items that we will need at the beginning of the school year. Each teacher may have their own additions to the supply list or requests for donations and will let you know at the beginning of the school year. We appreciate your participation and contributions to your child’s learning environment!

Kindergarten Supply List: (please DO NOT label with your child’s name unless it says to below as many of the items will be shared within the classroom):

·  2 boxes of Crayola crayons (24 pack)

·  1 box of pre-sharpened pencils (24 pack)

·  4 glue sticks, larger size preferred (0.7 oz. or greater)

·  2 2-pocket folder (can be labeled with your child’s name)

·  1 spiral notebook (can be labeled with your child’s name; to be used for homework)

·  1 pair of headphones to be used with iPads (no earbuds, please place in ziplock bag, labeled with child’s name)

·  2 box of tissues

·  2 bags of Huggies baby wipes, refill size please (Wake County Public Schools approved brand)

·  GIRLS – slider quart and gallon-size ziplock bags

·  BOYS – non slider quart and gallon size ziplock bags

·  **Clothes (underwear, socks, shirt, pants/shorts) in a ziplock bag and labeled with child’s full name

·  **Towel or small blanket for rest time (no pillows or mats)

·  **School-sized backpack/book bag (no wheels)

·  **Be sure your child wears sneakers on PE days (athletic shoes are preferred on all school days; flip flops are not recommended)

·  **Please label all backpacks, jackets/coats, hats, etc. that you send to school

**Starred items will be needed even on your child’s staggered entry day. The other items will not be needed until your child begins on the first full day of Kindergarten.
