Frolic Boonies is adventure & fun filled wildlife camp for children aged 8 to 16 years at Mudumalai/bandipur on the foothills of Ooty. Camp Attraction - encounter insects, reptiles, amphibians, birds, trees, wildflowers, mammals, and much more under the guidance of experienced naturalists and wildlife experts.

Jungle Safari – an activity into the forests to spot wild animals and learn their behavior in their natural habitats
Fun: spotting Indian Guar, Spotted Deer, Sambar Deer, Elephants, Leopards, Porcupine, Mongoose, Fox, Dholes, Monitor Lizards, Langurs etc…
Learning: Wild animal behavior and Wild-life tracking, Exposure to flora and fauna of Western Ghats
Safety: In association with forest department, expert guides. Jungle Safari in a secured Vehicle
Highlight: Jungle safari at Mudumalai / Bandipur.
Continued learning is also arranged during the theory classes. Timings of the Jungle Safari – One hour on selected days of the camp

Safety: complete activity is guided by wildlife experts and tracking guides
Moth and ButterfliesAttracting- an activity to attract moths & butterflies and learn about them
Fun: set up moth stations by putting up suitable lights, white sheets and honey to attract moths, butterfly gardens are set with host plants that attract butterflies
Learning: identify moths & butterflies of different color, size and analyze their behavior and camouflaging techniques
BirdWatching-an activity to identify various kinds of birds, characteristics, habitats, and behavior.
Fun: Build bird houses, bird bath set-ups, bird feeding stations make bird treats
Learning: Identification of various kinds of birds and bird calls, using binoculars to spot birds

Fresh Water Fish Identification-Activities to catch, identify, and restore colorfuland tiny fishes using small nets in the shallow waters

Wildlife Videos & Quiz - At Frolic Boonies wildlife videos are played every evening on big projector screen.
Activity is designed to improve fun and learning through interactive sessions. Movies are always ended with quiz sessions.

Wildlife Treasure Hunt- Wild Life treasure hunt is similar to scavenger hunt which gets the children to explore the wildlife around the campus while they meet their targets
Ethology and Wildlife Journaling - Wild Animal Behavior Analysis and Interpretation of Communication
Fun - Watch how wild animals communicate and relate with each other. Creating a journal with recorded observations for future studies
Learning - Observe wildlife carefully and study animal behaviors, instincts and animal nature, learn to react to animal signals.
Safety - Conducted by trained naturalists and field experts
Wildlife Handling - Handle Injured Or Orphaned Wildlife
Fun - Seeing wildlife in close and protecting them
Learning - Methods to protect orphaned or injured birds and animals, provide first aid for wildlife and analytical skill to act during the time of emergency.

Chocolate Making – Practical classes and sessions to make the chocolates
Fun: Taste chocolates in hot, liquid form
Learning: Making chocolates, chocolate moulds of different shapes
Art/ Craft- unwinding The creativity in campers

Astronomy – an activity to explore the night sky using telescope
Fun: Locating planets, comets and wide array of space objects
Learning: Introduction to basic Astronomy, studying Space objects, studying of constellations
Fun and Games –
At Frolic Boonies we give importance to indigenous games like - Dumb Charades, Tambola, Passing the parcel, Dog and the bone and Treasure Hunt.
Physical games include throwball, Kho Kho, Lagori (seven stones) to develop team player skills in every individual.
Barbeque/ CampFire-a place to unwind the mind with taste of grills
Fun & Learning: Every night at Frolic Boonies camp fires create warm and enjoyable atmosphere. Delicacies cooked include-Corn, Sweet potatoes, Cauliflower and potato barbeque, Grilled Paneer, and chicken (for non-vegetarian campers).
Kayaking – Sit on Top Kayaksto enjoy the gentle stream and nature up close
Fun: Easy water sports activity enjoyed by all age groups
Learning: Simple maneuvering techniques of the kayak through stream
Safety: Stable kayaks of international standard design, Life jackets, helmets provided
Fun Carnival -Inculcating responsibility through fun
Fun & Responsibility: On the second last day of camp we conduct fun carnival where children enjoy various fun games, activities and other stalls. A minimum of Rs. 200 is collected from all camp participants which are redeemable against carnival coupons

Safety at Frolic Boonies
- Safety is primary at Frolic Boonies. Our experienced instructors teach safety in every activity.
- Supervision throughout the day is provided by camp counselors with a healthy - Camper to Counselor Ratio is 6:1
- All our naturalists and guides are trained and experienced in working with children.
- Doctor on call – tie-up with local doctor/24 hours and a nurse on duty with first aid facilities
- Uniform during out of campus activities like jungle safari, trekking, etc
Accommodation- At Mudumalai, Clean, comfortable & weather-proof Camping Tents and bamboo huts with mattresses, pillows and bed sheets.
All tents have insect repellents, fan and light.
Separate tents and toilets for boys and girls. Hygienic bath rooms and toilet facilities
At Coorg, Clean, comfortable rooms at homestay in south Coorg
Food at Frolic Boonies- Hygienic, Tasty, Nutritious and Balanced food at regular intervals. Energetic fruit juice as supplement throughout the day. Most of the dishes are vegetarian but non-vegetarian food is also available on alternative days for those kids who eat non-vegetarian.
