The West Wateree-Lugoff Rotary Club’s fourth annual Wild Game Dinner and Silent Auction is scheduled for 6 p.m., Saturday, May 6, at Old McCaskill’s Farm on Cantey Lane, just south of I-20. Proceeds go to the West Wateree Rotary Scholarship Fund to benefit Lugoff-Elgin High School seniors.

Tickets are $25 per single and $40 per couple. They may be purchased at Heritage Community Bank, Veterinary Medicine & Surgery and Wateree Animal Hospital in Elgin.

Club President John Wells describes the event as “down-home and delicious,” with wide support from the community. “Hunters in our club provide the game and a wonderful local farm will be providing a great setting and tasty food.”

The menu will feature venison and wild hog entrees along with numerous side items. There will also be a wide variety of silent auction and raffle items including high end coolers, popular golf packages, concert tickets, a 12 gauge shotgun, a refrigerator and a Clemson/Dabo Swinney signed 2016 National Championship Football.
Since 1990, the West Wateree Rotary Club has been committed to providing scholarships to Lugoff-Elgin High School seniors. Through fundraising efforts, more than $78,000 in scholarships have been awarded to approximately 112 students to help them further their education. Six $1,500 scholarships will be provided to seniors this year.
