HOME BASE / *All students begin on Home Base

LEVEL 1
(3incident slips) / *Warning level for students who have
broken school or classroom rules and
received threeincident reports
*Two weeks without anincident report
student reviewed back to Home Base
*Letter of congratulation when reviewed / * Letter to inform parents of
behaviours that were responsible
for issuing of incident report
* Counselling from Deputy
Principal in Charge of Discipline
LEVEL 2
(6incident slips) / *Continuation of unacceptable behaviour
in the classroom or playground
*Disobedient / uncooperative / interfering
with the rights of others
*Two weeks without an incident report
student returns to Home Base or a level
determined by the Discipline Coordinator
and the Principal
*Letter of congratulation when reviewed / * Letter home to parents to request
a meeting with Principal and D.P.
to discuss behaviour
* Student informed of
consequences if behaviour does
not improve.
* Removed from playground two days.
* Discussion with teacher & student
to discuss steps to be introduced
to help modify behaviour
* Possible referral to counsellor
* Excluded from participation in out
of school activities. Period in
“Detention Room” to be determined
LEVEL 3
(9incident slips) / *Persistent disobedience.
*Total disregard for school and classroom
rules
*Interfering with the rights of others
*No respect for teachers or peers
*Fighting
*Swearing
*No incident reportsfor two weeks student
reviewed to a level determined by the
Principal and/or the Deputy Principal
* Letter of congratulation when reviewed / * Withdrawn from playground
* Referral to counsellor
* Suspension will be considered
* Interview with parents to explain
consequences to be invoked.
* Behaviour modification program
* Excluded from all extra curricula
activities in and outside school.
*Referral to outside agencies if
required.
LEVEL 4
(12incident slips) / * Continually disregarding school rules
* Possession of illegal drugs or a
prohibited weapon
* Violent or threatens serious physical
violence
* Engages in criminal behaviour related
to the school
* Continuing misbehaviour of a serious
nature / * Mandatory Suspension
* Re-entry to be negotiated
* Referral to support agencies
* Notification to appropriate agency
